Our Journey

Like many families, we found ourselves working hard… just to keep up. Paycheck to paycheck. Hustling to maintain a lifestyle that never gave us true peace. Deep down, we knew there had to be more—more than debt, more than dependence on a broken system, more than just surviving.

 

So in 2022, we made a radical choice: we sold our 2,400 square-foot home and moved into a 38-foot travel trailer. We had no roadmap—only a stirring from the Lord and a willingness to obey. For a short season, we traveled with my husband’s job, unsure of what the future held. But in that wilderness season, God began to move. He stretched us. Shaped us. And gave us vision.

 

Little by little, our desires became clear. We didn’t just want to escape—we wanted to establish. That desire led us to the mountains of Tennessee, where we purchased a little over four acres and began to build our homestead from the ground up—as slowly and as debt-free as possible.

Today, we live fully off-grid in our travel trailer along with two other living quarters for our older kids while we focus on building our forever home. We’re growing not just a home, but a legacy—a place of peace, prayer, and purpose that our children will always be able to return to, even long after we’re gone.

 

This isn’t just about homesteading. It’s about obedience. It’s about trusting God with every step—even when it’s costly, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s unknown.
